If your family lives across more than one language (through heritage, life abroad, or by choice), finding good children's books in all of them is hard.

How families use it.

Multi-heritage families. Your child speaks Turkish with you, French with their other parent, English at school. The same book, with the same illustrations, exists in all three. Read tonight in Turkish; tomorrow in French.

Families living abroad. You moved last year, and school now happens in a language you barely understand. Bedtime can stay in yours — and there are books in the new language too, ready when your child is.

Families opening new doors. Maybe you want your child to grow up with a language no one in the family speaks yet. Each story is read aloud by a voice picked to fit the book, so your child can listen and you can learn alongside them.

A reading product, not an attention product.

What worries many parents about children's apps isn't only what's on the screen; it's what the app does to a child's attention. So we left the attention machinery out:

No ads. Not in the books, not between them, not anywhere your child can see.
No games. No points, no streaks, no reward loops.
No hooks. No notifications to pull your child back, and nothing that starts the next book when one ends.
No social. No comments, no likes, no presence by other users at all.

Reading time should be calm time.

How we level books

We level the book, never your child.

Each book carries two separate notes: who the story suits, and how hard the words are to read alone. The two often differ, and that's fine — a book a little above their level, read together, is one of the best things you can give a young reader. The level describes the book, and it's there for you. It is never a score on your child.
